Edinburgh-based startup SWURF, a pioneering hybrid work platform, has recently raised a six-figure investment to fuel its ambitious growth plans across the UK and Europe. The innovative app connects remote and hybrid workers with underutilized hospitality venues, transforming them into vibrant community workspaces.
This latest funding round includes follow-on investment from Gareth Williams, co-founder of Skyscanner, who has supported SWURF since 2022. Additional backing comes from the Scottish Government’s Techscaler programme, Scottish Enterprise, and a group of private investors, signaling strong confidence in the company’s vision.
Alongside the funding, SWURF has strengthened its leadership by appointing three industry heavyweights to its board. These strategic hires are set to guide the company’s international rollout and enhance its technological and innovative edge as it scales.
The fresh capital will accelerate SWURF’s expansion into new UK regions and select European markets, addressing the growing demand for flexible workspaces. The company also has plans for a further raise of €1.1 million later this year to support its global ambitions.
